Technology Integration Initiative
In 2002, the Youth Alternative program recieved a grant for upgrading and expanding our technology resources. In 2008, we received a donation of used office computers to upgrade our aging desktops. The program has utilized these resources to change the way students learn and produce, and continue to strive to keep our methods fresh and up to date.
Classroom Wiki pages
In the spring of 2009, the EYA began using wiki pages to keep students and parents informed of whats been going on in classes. Assignments, summaries and extra resources can all be found on these pages.

Aztec Software
In 2004, we installed the Aztec Learning System software on all the workstations in our program. It is an award-winning
educational tool that allows students to work individually on most academic topics, while reporting progress to the teacher. It is especially useful with rolling admissions, as students who enroll during the school year have access to individualized materials while they "catch up."
